On the afternoon of December 4, three PhD candidates from the Glycobiology Laboratory at Jiangnan University—Wang Buqing, Chen Shuai, and Tang Yuhe—successfully defended their doctoral theses. Following rigorous evaluation, the defense committee unanimously recommended the conferral of doctoral degrees.

The defense committee comprised esteemed experts, including Professor Chen Li from Fudan University, Professor Xie Ran from Nanjing University, and Professors Ding Zhongyang, Liu Zhongmei, and Kang Zhen from Jiangnan University. Each candidate presented an in-depth analysis of their research, covering the background, methodology, results, and implications of their work. The committee members commended their scholarly contributions and research competence.

Following the defense, the laboratory held a celebratory gathering to honor the achievements of the three candidates. The laboratory supervisor highlighted that their success not only reflects individual dedication but also marks a significant milestone for the laboratory's ongoing development and academic excellence.
