Wuxi, China – The 3rd Academic Committee Meeting of the Key Laboratory of Carbohydrate Chemistry and Biotechnology, Ministry of Education of China, commenced its first session on January 22, 2024, at the School of Biotechnology, Jiangnan University.
Distinguished scholars and experts from various academic institutions gathered for this significant event, including Academician Yu Biao from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Professor Zhang Youming from the Microbial Biotechnology Research Institute at Shandong University, Professor Wang Peng from the School of Medicine at Southern University of Science and Technology, Professor Yi Wen from the School of Life Sciences at Zhejiang University, Professor Zhao Liming from the School of Biotechnology at East China University of Science and Technology, Professor Yin Jian, Dean of the School of Life Sciences and Health Engineering at Jiangnan University, Researcher Yin Heng from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics at CAS, Professor Gu Zhengbiao, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of Jiangnan University, Professor Cheng Jieyin, Party Secretary of the School of Biotechnology at Jiangnan University, and Professor Liu Long, Dean of the School of Biotechnology and Director of the Key Laboratory.
Chaired by Academician Yu Biao, the Academic Committee Meeting featured a comprehensive discussion and exchange of ideas on the progress of the Key Laboratory. Professor Liu Long, representing the laboratory, presented the annual work report for the year 2023. During the meeting, Professor Kang Zhen, Professor Gao Minjie, and Professor Hideki NAKANISHI from our laboratory delivered presentations on their notable research advancements.
