Biography

Morihisa Fujita received his Ph.D. in 2006 at the Graduate School of Life and Environmental Science, The University of Tsukuba (advisor: Prof. Yoshifumi Jigami), and then joined the Research Institute for Glycoscience, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) as a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science for Young Scientists. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Howard Riezman at Department of Biochemistry, University of Geneva, Switzerland in 2006. He joined the Department of Immunoregulation, Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, Osaka University (Prof. Taroh Kinoshita’s laboratory) as a postdoctoral fellow in 2008. He became a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor for the Global COE Program at Osaka University in 2008, and an Assistant Professor at the Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, Osaka University, in 2012. He moved to the Key Laboratory of Carbohydrate Chemistry and Biotechnology, Ministry of Education, School of Biotechnology, Jiangnan University as a Professor in 2014.Now he works in GIFU University. His research interests focus on the biosynthesis, intracellular trafficking, and production of glycoproteins.
